IT in Pakistan; Role in Education

Information technology (IT) is "the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware", according to the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA). IT deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and securely retrieve the information.

A few of the duties that IT professionals perform may include data management, networking, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, as well as the management and administration of entire systems. Information technology is starting to spread farther than the conventional personal computer and network technology, and more into integrations of other technologies such as the use of cell phones, televisions, automobiles, and more, which is increasing the demand for such jobs.

Pakistan is underdeveloped country but it’s not far behind in IT sector. IT sector of Pakistan is being flourished day by day. Use of IT in different sectors, industries is increasing. People are getting aware of its advantages and benefits.

IT is playing great and important role in education. HEC is thriving hard to make education, IT blessed more as possible. Universities like AIOU and VU are the ones known for IT usage. Both universities are using TV and Internet as a medium of education. They are having specific TV channels devoted to deliver lectures and it has a great impact on students. Students while staying at their places with lots of ease can attend the lectures record it and can watch it later. This is successful because majority of the population lives in rural scattered areas. TV is a good source getting in touch with them.

For students IT is also a blessing. Different universities provide online counseling. Students can contact them and benefited. Different online libraries, research works and online bookstores are the best things ever which were never easy to access before. These all things are having great impact on education. Just because of IT.

Normally we see thousands of businesses fail. One wonder what just happened? He tried everything, spent a lot of money. What devil happened to his business? Well no doubts he did their best at their part. But when they are asked did they make the business plan before starting? And believe me mostly are like "what".

Yes a business plan. If you are starting your own new business, one of the first thing you need to do is to work on business plan. The business plan is a written description of all the aspects of the business, which is intended to convince you, the business owners, as well as anybody outside reading it, either a lender or investor and so on, of the legitimacy of the business. It gives you the glimpse into the business. Part of the business plan is where you want the business to go.

Why your business one should prefer? Who are the strong players; competition? What does the competition do well? What don't they do well? What best you are having to satisfy the intense needs the competitors have not? A business plan is also the financial plan for the business. The budgets for the business, operating plans, sales forecast, expense forecast, and cash flow information should be included because everybody needs to know. The purpose of being in business is to make money. And you know the only thing you can spend is cash. So you need a good cash flow statement for the businesses as well. 

Convincing tool, yes business plan serve as a convincing tool. The essence of any business is to convince the investors or lenders obviously for the investment. This plan gives each and every detail required to convince them like what is business all about, where you want to take it, its objectives and shows the seriousness about the business.

Easy management is possible. It serve as standard which a current business situation can be compared; where you are and where you want to be in the future.

The business plan has to demonstrate two things. Is there enough money to pay back the investors and is there enough money to pay the person who is doing the business? It is not enough just to produce a business plan to show the bank. You have to prove that the business can pay back the investors.

So always start with a good Business Plan.
